Convert to Disc Brakes

D4500 with Steerable Tag Axle or J Coaches with Q Brake System.

Disc brakes have higher output resulting in stopping distances that are typically 20 to 30 percent better than traditional drum brakes. They also have superior fade resistance and more consistent torque output than drum brakes for improved stability during braking. Easy access to brake pads greatly reduces maintenance time.
