COACH GUARD BRUSHLESS MOTORS

MCI presents three motors that add up to valuable cost savings by virtually eliminating maintenance and downtime.

The COACH GUARD brushless defroster motor is an Electronically Commutated DC motor design which provides for maintenance free operation by eliminating brush failures and brush maintenance.

Brushless technology has existed for over 25 years, primarily in aerospace and military applications where weight, size, efficiency and reliability were the requirements. Three developments have made this technology economically feasible; availability of high-efficiency, reliable, low-cost power transistors; economical rare-earth permanent magnets; and the introduction of low-cost Hall Effect devices.
