
BoltBus buys first new MCI® D4505s for Boston-NY route
SCHAUMBURG, IL — June 17, 2011 — Making its first-ever purchase of new MCI equipment, BoltBus has added 15 MCI D4505 coaches to its fleet. The coaches, equipped with custom seats, three-point seatbelts, Wi-Fi, 110-volt power outlets and extra legroom, are already in service in several northeastern markets.
The MCI coaches also feature clean-diesel Cummins engines and Allison transmissions, along with standard features including antilock brakes, Electronic Stability Control, Automatic Traction Control, SmartWave® tire-pressure monitoring and other high-performance features. The coaches are additionally equipped with wheelchair lifts and can accommodate two wheelchair positions.
A joint-venture between Greyhound Lines, Inc. and Peter Pan Bus Lines, BoltBus operates in the northeastern United States. It offers online fares starting at $1 as well as walk-up service. BoltBus also offers its passengers extra leg-room and reserved seating along with free Wi-Fi and access to plug-ins for their electronic devices.
